25 Questions
Get to know me…through the current fad of ’25 things about you’. The nod to the fad shall also commemorate the launch of the blog for future reference.
1. Contrary to popular belief, I would like to have a small wedding, preferably at a city hall. The only traditional element I’ll preserve is the couture I get to wear.
2. My favourite flowers are inky purple tulips, because I learned to draw them before any other flower and purple happened to be my favourite colour then.
3. I fractured my wrist playing soccer in gym class when I was 10. My uncle picked me up from school and took me straight to the grocery store to pick up Haagen Dazs ice cream to cheer me up. I finally made my way to the hospital a day and a half later and got a cast. My family’s eccentric that way.
4. I find it extremely weird to hold and coo to babies I barely know.
5. Backstreet Boys music genuinely cheers me up when I’m down. Nothing else has quite the same effect.
6. My best friend from high school and I got our belly buttons pierced shortly after my first “relationship” ended. Mine grew over two years later.
7. I blame my mother wholeheartedly for the fashion faux pas(s) I endured growing up.
8. My favourite cities in the world, in no particular order, are New York, Vancouver, Taipei, San Francisco, Kailua, Salzburg, and Windermere. I think I’d really like London, too, but just haven’t spent enough time there. I’m still on the fence about Paris.
9. The taste of milk makes me retch – I stopped drinking it when I was 7 months old.
10. I love barbeque chips dipped in peach yogurt.
11. It takes me a few hours to finish one cup of coffee or tea, and I like it that way.
12. Grape soda with lots of ice reminds me of visiting my mom at Pizza Hut when I was little.
13. Taking Women’s Studies in first year made me realize how much of a non-feminist I am – thank goodness.
14. Some people think I’m cold/awkward/unapprochable. It’s because I can’t pretend to like people. I also dislike small talk with people I don’t know very well.
15. My best friend from uni told me I sound like a 300-pound giantess when I talk about food. I agree.
16. I am 24 25 years old and still nowhere close to being a published best-selling author.
17. I was convinced my mom was a witch when I was little. How did she foresee everything?!
18. My Nick Carter fan-site was featured on YTV Hit List in 1998. It got about 7,000 hits in overnight – a big deal in the 90′s, I’d say!
19. I was scared of computers the first year I had my own. I thought it was going to blow up.
20. I didn’t name Mr. Otterson.
21. I swallowed one of my baby teeth. I still have nightmares about having a full set of teeth in my stomach.
22. I am ashamed to admit that I don’t read or write Chinese as well as I used to. At least I speak it OK.

24. I have never tried any illegal substances. My motto there is “go big or go home”.
25. I never learned to swim, despite signing up for many lessons over many summers.
